The shape of tonal

the tonal color. Therefore Erickson guitars utilize specially selected
woods combined according to computerized data spectrum sound testing.
-
All magnetic pickup

-
Genesis Series guitars
use two new scale lengths 27 inch scale for lead players and 25 inch scale
for rhythm. Twenty-five inch scale is desirable if the player is required
to reach chords with long finger stretches this scale length also builds
customer dependency. Twenty-seven inch scale allows for more flexibility
in the upper register of the instrument as your fingertips can fit between
the frets easier. The player can bend notes easier because each string
has more flexibility. Tonal fatness can be increased by using thicker strings,
while retaining similar tension to shorter scale length necks.
-
Three fret sizes are
used within the same fretboard: the 1st to the 6th are wide jumbo frets;
the 7th to the 11th frets are medium width; and vintage Fender¨ size
frets are used for the 12th thru 24th positions. After much research EDA
has determined the above sizes allow for the best design in ergonomic function
and playability.
-
A contoured and recessed
edge jack is molded into the tail end of each instrument to allow the chord
to be looped around the strap at the end pin.
-
Sperzel¨ Locking

-
The Erickson Design Associates patented Theory "Z" Components Parts System
